OpenClaw Easy and Claw.so are both desktop apps for OpenClaw, but they sit at different layers. OpenClaw Easy is an installer and control app: it bundles the OpenClaw runtime, so a Mac or Windows PC with no existing setup gets a working AI assistant in WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord, Feishu and LINE. Claw.so (sold as "Claw Desktop" by Pixel ML, Inc.) does not bundle OpenClaw. It connects to an OpenClaw gateway you already run, on a VPS, a Mac mini or your own computer, and gives you a cockpit to review outputs and diffs, approve risky steps, and resume runs from Slack, Discord or the desktop.
Claw.so's installers are public betas: the latest we found is claw-v0.2.0-beta.8 from February 18, 2026, for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs (about 80 MB) and Windows (about 74 MB). Claw.so says it never sees your code, files or prompts.
